I am a Hindi and English singer who loves donkeys, new york style pizza and san francisco!
- Winner of the prestigious Pandit Omkarnath Thakur award, a state level award in Indian classical music by the Government of Gujarat. The only award for Indian classical music by the Govt. of Gujarat.(2000) This is a nationally recognized achievement and is considered distinguished. Gujarat is one of the largest and most affluent states in India similar to California, Texas or New York in the USA in terms of importance and competitiveness.
Selected and performed among top 16 females selected from all over world for “Saregamapa - Golden Voice Hunt” telecasted by Zee T.V. 2003. This program is nationally & worldwide with estimated viewership at close to 40 million people in over 20 countries. This is considered the “top” program of its kind and has won the award of “Best Musical Programme” in an Asian award similar to the Emmys.
Selected and performed among top 16 females from all over world for Saregamapa in 2004.
By invitation from Sony Entertainment Television, performed on Indian Idol which was telecast world wide by Sony Entertainment Television (owned by Sony Corporation) in Oct – Nov 2004. This has an estimated viewership of 110 million people across 28 countries – this is larger than even American Idol.

First place in Indian classical vocal category in the Odyssey 2001 national competition held at St.Xaviers Loyola Hall
Won the “Interclub Talent Competition” in 2002 held by Ahmedabad city (Ahmedabad is a “mega city” of 4 million people, approximate size of Chicago)
Won first place and named as one of the top three performing artists in Classical Vocal Solo singing in 2003-2004 at the nationally ranked, Gujarat statewide competition
Won first place and named as one of the top three performing artists in Classical Vocal Solo singing in 2003-2004 at the nationally ranked, Gujarat statewide competition
Won first place and named as one of the top three performing artists in Classical Vocal Solo singing in 2004-2005 at the nationally ranked, Gujarat statewide competition
