"What were the skies like when you were young? - They went on forever – They - When I w- We lived in Arizona, and the skies always had little fluffy clouds in 'em, and, uh... they were long... and clear and... there were lots of stars at night. And, uh, when it would rain, it would all turn - it- They were beautiful, the most beautiful skies as a matter of fact. Um, the sunsets were purple and red and yellow and on fire, and the clouds would catch the colors everywhere. That's uh, neat cause I used to look at them all the time, when I was little. You don't see that. You might still see them in the desert.." Male United Kingdom

About me Screaming Egg Notion sort of came about as an accident...
Before SEN, I tried to compose/produce in so many different genres of music and never really found my place in any of them....
After a long break from making music I decided to try doing something just for myself to chill out to while maybe having a little smoke :) All of my Orb albums were played to death and I needed something fresh to listen to while chilling... Boom, my first 3 tracks were born... After listening to them a bit I thought these aren't too bad...
About 2 months before that I re-discovered traxinspace... And after a week or so of listening to my 3 tracks I decided to up them to TiS...
I never actually expected to get positive feedback from this music as it was originally intended for just me to listen to... The positive comments just spurred me on to write more and more stuff...
Thanks to everyone here at TiS for the nice comments and support.... Without that, Screaming Egg Notion would probably have fizzled away into nothingness a while back..

Musical inspiration mostly old house and rave music.. I just love how by music theory standards it shouldn't work... but it just does... I'm into so many different styles and genres of music it makes my head spin... punk, classical, metal, tribal.. even old trance stuff.. I love 60's rock like the stones, mama's n papa's, jefferson airplane, the doors, the kinks, iron butterfly, the who etc etc... thinking about it... I suppose the orb have had a massive influence on the music i create now... and the feeling it gives...
Advice to other musicians A little insanity goes a long way.. |
