I'm working on a tune right now that *sort of* flows in the same vein, more of a Greek feeling to it this time around, as it's got some samples from the movie "300." I've been listening to some Greek folk music lately, trying to echo that kind of vibe.

-----3.) There seems to be a lack of emotional content.-----In your songs, not lately :-)...and truth is writing dark mood-ed music relate-able to general public is very tough challenge regardless of skill. Same goes for very fast break-beat music (I know that one from experience).
