Hey everyone!
My name is Josh Whelchel, and I've been writing music for a fairly long time. I just finished up my soundtrack to "The Spirit Engine 2" recently, so I'm about ready to work on new things! YAY.

Favorite musicians
I enjoy the old love-children of Bobby Prince, but I really appreciate Jack Wall and company. I like a little bit of everything, all said and done. E.S. Posthumus is a group of two brothers who write music as if they were listening to my musical thoughts. As far as my musical taste goes otherwise, I love Cobra Starship, The Faint, Muse, and like bands. They are the inspiration for "Poolside" music. (: --- I felt it would be a good idea to add my favorite TiS artists here of late. I like the music of Jussi Nieminen (gilgamesh), Nygen Dale, Barry van Oudtshoorn, Hanhis, Taroeel, TiLT, Zepsi, Roncli, Slammy, and numerous more.

Notes about my music
I write music mostly for games, but sometimes I dabble in other weird kinds of music, like pop. Hah. But... am I joking? A lot of my stuff is Orchestral with a bit of rock of demostyle fusion. Most of my music is very soundtrack oriented.

This production has a very 'crisp' sound to it. The drums are very crystaline (that's how I'd describe them, although not like glass) and the sound is very sharp. I don't really hear the description you provided in the music, but I guess it really depends on the context. Musically, this is p

If you're looking for a professionally written and produced score, you need go no further. Mostar Bridge is an excellent score for a film or game setting, although it's not something I'd expect to get more than a few plays from. The artist does a novel job of creating a beautiful and mysteriou

There come times when it is very difficult to decide what exactly the perfect track is. Here is a piece of music that is not only unique, but also manages to create a VERY specific mood. To top things off, this piece also serves a very specific purpose, which it achieves very well. First of all,

Here is a piece in the genre I could only dub "Classical Fusion," as it melds orchestral music in a cinematic dynamic with rock/metal, sort of what you hear in those really eerie gothic bands. However, this piece doesn't shoot for the same effect, or at least, that is not what it achieves. While

The world of demos and text-based graphic effects are well beyond the scope of this reviewer, but something I definitely have grown to appreciate is the wonderful music that has spawned from this underground phenomenon. grip provides us with some of the best demostyle music I've heard since the new
