About me
Valve is a 2 member tranceproject from Finland, formed by Sami Määttälä and Joni Autio. The project came to be in the late 2005 when Sami was working on a track that didn't quite fit to be released under his previous guises. He played the track to Joni, who gave some ideas on how to build the track. And so, Valve was born.

Valve's tracks are mostly uplifting and melodic, but the boys produce progressive trance as well, under the guise "Autio & Maattala".

You actually might remember Sami from the old TiS under the name "Tawan" ;)

Valve is currently in association with the following labels:

Neuroscience Recordings
Joof Recordings
Real Legacy Records
Moonrising Records
Amon Vision

For a FT2 track this is an interesting piece for sure. Not the best trance I've heard from FT2, but interesting. Few nice melodies, i.e. the piano there. I would have expected a continuous bassline here, but since there isn't any, the track sounds a bit empty. There are few elements that work out

I'd say this track is more of rave or even happy hardcore, but not really trance in my opinion. Anyway, this track is very much fun to listen to and if some of those flaws described below would be corrected, I'd even dance to this on the dancefloors. So in that respect, a job well done here! :D

Not your everyday trance I might say. Very dark atmospheres combined with nice bg-effects. Those melodies are just perfect for this kind of track, though they don't quite make your feet stomp and make you want to dance to this. Still very enjoyable experience.

Ok, my first review here, so let's start.. First of all, lose the reverb on the kick. Doesn't really sound too nice and it makes the track sound kind of messy. The main lead is way up on the octaves here, maybe if you'd lower it one octave down and perhaps raising some volume, that might work.
