About me
Full name: Tore Aune Fjellstad

I've been composing music on and off for over 20 years now. In the 90's tracking was all the rage, and I progressed from Whacker Tracker through Scream Tracker and in the end, Impulse Tracker. I signed up to Trax in Space in 1998 and had some very happy years sharing my music and reviewing others' efforts. I have high expectations for this second incarnation, we'll see how it works out!

Technicolor (Part 2)

Solid piece of melodic ambient synthpop executed with great focus and attention to detail. The song is not without its (minor) drawbacks, detailed below, but remains a compelling listen well worth visiting - and revisiting.

A nice, dreamy little number with a subdued yet airy atmosphere here. Unintrusive pads, smoothly chopped guitars (?), some simple organ phrases and light percussion adds to a promising piece which ultimately lands just short of its potential.

With a moody opening featuring some classic dialogue from the moon landing, this song really kicks into gear at the half minute mark: Drums and bass create a tight groove over some deliciously laid back synth pads, with an electric guitar contributing stabs at key moments. The bass and guitar parts

Some gorgerous electric piano chords and a wicked synth bass line starts off a two chord vamp in this smooth chillout track, and although the opening holds a lot of promise, the rest of the track doesn't quite deliver - mainly because of a lack of variation. The opening chords and bass line are rep

Here is a great, no nonsense, thorougly funky piece of jazz-rock fusion in a simple four-piece band setup, with no extra frills or effects. It captures all the fun of a great band kicking back and jamming, and here lies both the song's main strength and its weakness: While there are plenty of great
