About me
Full name: Tore Aune Fjellstad

I've been composing music on and off for over 15 years now. In the 90's tracking was all the rage, and I progressed from Whacker Tracker through Scream Tracker and in the end, Impulse Tracker. I signed up to Trax in Space in 1998 and had some very happy years sharing my music and reviewing others' efforts. I have high expectations for this second incarnation, we'll see how it works out!

Here is a gorgeous solo piano piece that hasn't received the attention it richly deserves. At the time of this review, this song has been available at Trax in Space for one year and two months, and during that time it has racked up a whopping total of... six plays and zero downloads. And I'm here

Extremely stark and pensive piece that never quite manages to fulfill its promise. Unfortunately, not enough attention to detail means that the song ends up sounding unfinished. Still, it's well worth the download simply for the gorgeous opening, which sounds very much like something someone like L

A short track featuring a good ol'timey chip-sounding synth riff and a bouncy, danceable rhythm. Although it's fairly competently put together, it needs either greater rhythmic complexity or a stronger melodic structure - preferrably both - to avoid sounding like a generic backing track. But there

One fine, smooth piece of music that delivers everything you'd expect from a chillout track. Deep bass, sampled drumbeat, warm pads, and a laidback, funky atmosphere all the way through. Some of the instruments are a bit below what I'd expect to hear, both from the genre perspective and compared t

Overall a very nice slice of ambience. Some synthetic marimba (?) work and a couple of elegant details makes this track stand out a little bit from your average ambient track. A couple of arrangement and variation issues are really the only drawbacks to this track, but they add up to make the track
