1Overall Description
The world of demos and text-based graphic effects are well beyond the scope of this reviewer, but something I definitely have grown to appreciate is the wonderful music that has spawned from this underground phenomenon. grip provides us with some of the best demostyle music I've heard since the new Trax in Space has opened.

The piece opens with some interesting pads and a very clever auto-filtered 8bit percussion line that leads into a strong beat that dominates the rest of the track. However, it isn't until the bassline and other harmonies are introduced that this track really shines.

This piece is only riddled with minor flaws in the mixing, but is otherwise a golden piece of music mastery. I highly recommend "Deviously cunning."

2Creativity Description
This track never gets repetitive to any point of annoyance, but it really maintains the sweet spot of mixing in motifs with variations that captures and holds my attention as a listener. While I can't say that I haven't heard anything like this before, I can say that it stands very well on its own and has enough distinctiveness to not only serve as a background to a demo, but also stand on its own two feet... a trait that I've found most demostyle tracks do not share.

3Arrangement Description
The arrangement has a lot going on in places, and is very simple in others. As I said before, this piece really finds a way to balance its repetition so that it doesn't get old and fully manages to keep things moving. I really have no complaints in the arrangement department.

4Sound Quality Description
The only flaw for me really comes into play in the sound quality. The bassline dominates the low frequencies very strongly, and unfortunately, the bass drum shares the same low frequencies almost spot on. I'd like to hear a little EQ adjustment to bring out the bass drum a little more, so that I could 'feel' the beat to a greater degree. The samples and synths are very effective, otherwise, and although things may have a bit too much delay, things sit nicely.

Overall, this is a solid mix.
