1Overall Description
To be honest I'm not much for a lot of so-called "experimental" music that's out there. This however is a bit different - it's good. There are a lot of effects used here that flow very well. In a sense it also seems heartfelt, which is very out of the ordinary (but very good!) for an experimental piece.

2Creativity Description
This song is incredibly interesting to listen to. Lots of ambient effects floating around in the background keep your ears searching which brings out a lot of contrast. It is extremely enjoyable.

3Arrangement Description
Definitely the lowest score I can muster to give this piece (for the sake of being objective). The mixing could use some work as a lot of the instruments seem muffled. This was likely done intentionally but there needs to be more treble added to balance things out. Having the drums and the "lead" guitar synth both so muddled on the highs really dampen things. Later on there are instruments added that do balance the equalizer out a lot but that still doesn't say much for the first minute or so. Panning is well done, but the song is too short. It needs to keep going! Keep interjecting new sounds in there! I keep wanting more but the song ends.

4Does it work as a piece of music Description
Without a doubt this is a coherent, well done piece of music for the experimental genre. It's not radio pop music but it wasn't meant to be. Good job!

Actually, this song has a very specific purpose, and I'm really glad you've touched on all the little details that I put in there. 1) the muffled stuff, I was going for a very dense and very negative feeling, so I did cut off a whole lot of high's in the process. Oh and yeah, btw, the guitar sample, IS actually a part of the drums, you see.. the distorted sounds are actually tabla samples :) (but, in retrospect, perhaps I should have put certain tablas on another channel, with a bit of a boost to them in the EQ spectrum) 2) Regarding the short feel of the song and it's sudden ending, this was very intentional, as it ties in with the story that can be viewed in it's ID3 tags :) Oh and yeah, Xerxes and me go way back btw, I agree that he's one of the best ambient artists that has ever graced this earth :) (but he's never on the modarchive anyone.. that rat bastard!)
