1Overall Description
As an experiment on the road to something new: not bad. But this track lacks interesting parts and is simply... a bit fast.
The combination of some drum 'n bass + trancey is nice, but wears off pretty fast over time. What's left is a fairly repetitive, icey tune.

2Creativity Description
Despite its hybridness the track lacks interesting material. The new elements cannot satisfy for more than a few seconds until the dullness of the track gets you. If it weren't so fast this effect would probably be even stronger.
On the other hand use of effects variation is pretty nice and to some degree compensates for negative aspects.

3Arrangement Description
Professional use of synths, a pumping bass, good drums and great panning add to a great experience in the arrangement apartment. I wouldn't mind some more instruments being used, but that's not necessary.

4Sound Quality Description
Production quality is good (bass and the drum synth at the beginning are exceptionally even), though not overwhelming. The track feels a bit dry (except for the drums).

5Does it work as a piece of music Description
Despite its repetitiveness this track could work as piece of music, especially considering its hybridness. What really makes me feel uneasy is the pace of the track. It's damn fast and I don't see no reason why it needs to be that way.
Also on the minus side there's the track's coolness, which can make the listener feel more or less uncomfortable.
Nevertheless a solid piece of music.

I agree on both sides...yes d&b is supposed to be damn fast and production wise this is damn good d&b, but the drums get so into it they don't seem to leave much room for melodic space or mood...and that lack of original mood is the main downfall of this track in my book.

You are right about me being unexperienced in d&b. Strange though, that your more conservative tracks (like Feeding Frenzy) have a totally different feeling to me o_O.

"It's damn fast and I don't see no reason why it needs to be that way." It's drum and bass. It's supposed to be fast.
