1Overall Description
"One Fine Day" is a professionally-crafted vaguely-melodic electronica composition by Randor with spoken-word vocals by Siida. While the song could've benefitted greatly from more variation or a stronger melodic presence, this is still an enjoyable listen.

The very first thing that jumps out about this song is the incredible production value. Everything is cleanly and impeccably mixed and polished to a nice sheen -- an absolute must for a song that gets by less on content and more on atmosphere.

And oh, what an atmosphere... a chilling sense of forboding and unease, brought about by the subdued-but-driving percussion, the dark tones, and Siida's haunting and unsettling spoken words. This is a dark song, but it's darkly exciting.

Musically, the song is a bit sparse. There's not much variation in the tone or the emotional dynamics. There's really only one true chord progression interspersed by brief breaks. And there's really only one true melodic line that is used several times throughout the course of the song, though that melodic line is at least interesting and hooky, and begging to be developed more fully.

Yet somehow, over the course of 5 minutes, and even with so few ingredients, the song never quite falls into the trap of sounding repetitive. Randor plays around with the backing elements and the percussion just well enough to keep the song moving along at a good clip.

This could still be better, but what the hey, I'll take it! And so should you.
