1Overall Description
I'm not good at reviewing but anyway, I have really enjoyed Caviar_Ceacers last few trax...And I had high expectations of another LSD-like Goa one, when he asked me to review this. It starts of very calm and the first relaxing melody that comes in is instantly wonderful and reminds me of a Cafe Del Mar chill-out compilation. But suddenly, and unfortunately in my opinion, a dark acid synth bursts in at 1:05 completely not matching the start: It sounds almost out of key, or like a DJ chopped in a mix of another trax on top?! Perhaps the artist is trying to mix emotions? But every time the trax falls back into the starting melody I'm smiling, and when it switches to the acid synths it’s painful like an LSD flashback and a little dull and uninspiring...There is a cool breakdown near 5 mins... The production side is good: mixing, panning, choice of sound, good layering, with some drum reverses and cool bar endings common in Goa. SUMMARY: I really like the first melody and believe two trax could be made by separating this start from the dark acid synths part of the trax (which is a bit boring). Sound quality is great, length is not: I don't understand the last 3 minutes? Doesn't go anywhere and doesn't add anything to the trax. It also is not as inventive as your others. Sorry, but compared to your last few excellent trax... this one is a 3 and a half...But of course, worth a listen…NOTE: I would love to see you make another happy tune out of the first melody...
