1Overall Description
An uninspiring dance piece with a long intro, lots of unnecessary repetition, and a few technical problems with some of the samples. The one thing this piece lacks is energy, which can best be changed by giving the arrangement more things to do, this piece is in sore need of a creativity kick before it can become truly enjoyable.

2Creativity Description
The creativity is lacking in this one, and that can be evident in the way the artist uses the same piano line for almost two minutes straight without changing it once, and the strings are constant for even longer. There is a solid basis for a good dance song here, but instead of adding parts to infuse the track with needed energy, the artist instead chose to just repeat what he's got, resulting in an uninspiring piece.

3Artistic License Description
While the samples mostly work well together (see the Sound Quality section for those that don't work well), this piece is essentially repetition central. While the basis for a lot of dance music is the reptetition, there's usually something in there that changes things up, such as an interlude, or some sound texturing, making the song more exciting. This song is lacking that, and only seems interested in changing up the percussion slightly, or adding a synth layer. The piano and strings, however, are constant, making this song seem extremely long even though it is only 4:24 long. Something's gotta give this track more energy, but as it is it just sits there.

4Arrangement Description
We're dealing with a very simple arrangement here. The same chord scheme is used throughout the song and the same piano melody is played over and over again, so there are no changes to inspire the listener. This alone is a big factor in the overall score, as there are just too many dance songs out there that do nearly the same thing structurally. That said, the arrangement that is there is a solid arrangement, allowing this song to play in the background without distracting the listener.

5Sound Quality Description
Overall, some of the samples sound really old. The strings in particular are uninspiring and of rather low quality, seemingly pulled straight out of a track from circa 2000, something newer and of higher quality would help a lot. The kick drum and bass sample don't mix very well together either, giving the track the feeling that it's out of tune when it's not. Replacing the kick drum with something with a different sound, or even just filtering out the mid to upper ranges of the kick would help a lot. The piano is simple yet effective, and most of the other percussion is crisp and clean.

6Does it work as a piece of music Description
This definitely works best as background music, it's not something I'd want to actively be listening to, because the song doesn't do a whole lot for me. Should you download it? If you like the dance genre, sure, it's something that you'll have an outside chance at enjoying. But if you're downloading the #1 song on the charts thinking you're about to listen to a mindblowing track, it's best you look elsewhere.

I agree completely with this review, particularly the kick/bass problem.

First of all i want to thank you for taking time to review my song. I agree with most of the things you say about the arrangement and sound quality. You are right about the samples (the're way before 2000). you are right about the things you say about Dance music. The structure of most of the dance songs is the same. My music is very recognizable. I must say that this piece of music is something completly different from the music i usually make. I accept your "critics" to learn from them and i'll keep on trying to be better and better. After all you are the expert! (and i mean that)
