1Overall Description
Another journey brought to you by Soem. And again, lots of ambiences, atmospheres and sceneries. This might not be his best track, technically speaking, but it does carry on lots of feelings and emotions. And please, don't stream this, this is definitely worth to be downloaded and played on a Hi-Fi sound system. I gave it a 4 as a reviewer. But personally, this is a 5's. As any of other Soem's.

2Creativity Description
The originality here is in what Soem does best: changing the lights and ambiences of his tunes. This one might sound "simple", almost "naked" as lacking of instruments. But this is precisely the intelligence at work: giving the audience a feel of depth and complete-ness with only a few elements. If one pays attention close enough, he'll find out there are no more than 5 or 6 synths thru out the whole tune. The beat itself is totally reduced to its minimum. Mimimalism painted with music.

3Arrangement Description
Maybe not the best arrangements possible, but those smooth transitions, this way to introduce a new melody, to stop the beat or take a bass out, this is always done in detail, and intelligently. Of course, there are flaws here, yes, panning, levels and such, but afterall, music is not a matter of post-production, but a matter of emotions.

4Sound Quality Description
Ouch, that's the killer, but you knew it already. Especially, compared to your other pieces, this one suffers from a TERRIBLE acid-like synth, extremely saturated. The worst of it is that it still plays when this almost child-ish melody comes in (06:06). It kills the feel of this Tangerine-like synth. I'd have shoot you for that ;) If you still have the native file somewhere, fix it and update the file so I can re-download it.

5Does it work as a piece of music Description
Despite the flaws, some issues regarding the sound quality, it does certainly stands its ground as a whole. And, aside technical fixings, it needs no more work.

Oh yes, it that was done in Reason 1 or 2, effects were pretty loosy back then. ;)

Haha! I see I see... (that synth is in fact a bad guitarsample on the old reason sampler filtered through the shitty old dist, a eq and something else... )

Yup.. Got that melody nailed down. And found a few interesting sounds to play it.. But then again, it was more for a personal quest, than any actual remix idea, Soem. Your track is (almost) perfect as is, if it wasn't for this.. synth, at 05'29" :p

Ah, damn. I forgot about that.. Cool, any luck finding the right notes? :)

Wow! Well, I'm really honored but.. I don't have Reason 4.0 so.. I woulnd't be able to do anything off your file. However, the saturation is less obvious when the tune is played on speakers, than with my headphones. Really, don't bother, leave it as is. (Although, I must confess, I've been throwing a few notes on my kbd to find that TangerineDream-like line you put in at 06'06""..)

I can send you the reason file, and maybe upload the samples I use someplace else. I would love to hear your version, for sure! It would be very very cool :D --- Yeah, I gave it a few thoughts back and forth. "Cortoh's chaos (slowburn part 1)" and part two is nameless atm.

Well, I like it as well, but it's oversaturated.. my poor ears, Soem. And I believe it does kill the Tangerine-like synth that comes softly at 06'06".. --- And so.. you're back with Chaos? I like it! ;)

Ah, I see. I acctually like that one, very much :). One thing I can honestly say I don't like too much is my "acidline" that comes in a bit later... Btw, "cortoh's chaos" is kickin' ass. ;)

Precisely 05'29", yes ;)

I like it (your review that is). Honesty is rare these days. I'm not sure which synth you mean, is it the one that comes in at 05:29?

Well, it came right from the heart, Soem. Especially because it ruins your TagerineDream-like synth.. I usually do my reviews with headphones, better to catch details and such. And when this saturated synth comes in, it's.. sort of hurting my poor little ears ;)

Haha! This is probably my favorite review so far. Love the part "this one suffers from a TERRIBLE acid-like synth, extremely saturated. The worst of it is that it still plays when this almost child-ish melody comes in (06:06). It kills the feel of this Tangerine-like synth. I'd have shoot you for that ;)" - especially the "shoot you..."
