1Overall Description
First I must say I am surprised that oscar is not getting more notice on Trax in Space since this seems to be what many on TiS is looking in a song – professional, completed, studio produced, great vocals….. and it is live performance even! So why oscar is not getting more attention is beyond me. This is a well-designed, well played, well produced, and strong track. The metal guitars grind nicely, (and I noticed the extended harmony chords!!), the drumming is modern in its expressiveness, nice psychedelic ear candy, the bass tone nicely bright during fast parts, and the vocals right on the money! In short this is good – good enough to sell commercially and to be played on the radio.

2Creativity Description
While this is good and has some extra ear candy this is not blindingly unique. It is extremely well executed. I think the next level will be putting an even more unique stamp on your music. It still sounds enough as say King’s X to not stand out enough for your talent to be appreciated, as it deserves. It is an artistic decision as to what direction to go – but you have an excellent foundation – the next step is to truly define yourselves without losing your audience.

3Artistic License Description
Within the style you are doing a lot and are adding as noted psychedelic ear candy in many places and ways. And as much as I can make out the lyrics (this seems to be a personal problem – not yours) the message is one of intense personal conflict and delivered with powerful desperation. This is something that is hard to ignore.

4Arrangement Description
There is no problem at all with the arrangement. It is professionally designed and executed. But do you know that harmony vocals make this have power pop leanings? Not that that is bad – it is still in character for what I’ve heard of the style but I thought I’d mention it.

5Sound Quality Description
This is from a studio with a good producer. Commercial quality. End of story.

6Vocals Description
The singer (it sounds like just one guy) is again pro-quality as are the rest of the musicians. On pitch, steady, rich male vocals. Can’t ask for more. Of note is that much of the backing music is more complicated than many instrumental tracks on TiS – yet oscar adds vocals to the mix and excels.

7Does it work as a piece of music Description
After all that what do you think? I say yes!
