1Overall Description
Please see my review of oscar's "always" for my general opinion - or better yet - just listen! This is, without question, professional quality music. So let us approach this as art.
This is the only thing left in question here…. And subjective as hell – but I’ll try.

2Creativity Description
Ok... after many listens I think I have the picture. As oscar specializes in bringing out the intense conflict in their subject matter the conflict here is about a relationship and the agony of change – nothing is constant in life and the struggle to maintain contact with another is desperate. Do I have this right? If so this is a totally unique perspective.

3Artistic License Description
This is in the framework of a power metal ballad. It is totally done right and correct stylistically. This one pushes the limits less than “always” though. While that is made up in the subject matter there is potential to really excel by making the music as unique as the concept being conveyed.

4Arrangement Description
This piece is built upon contrast. This works well to make the listener feel the personal nature of the subject matter. It flows up and back which puts the listener as a confidant to a witness of a desperate to a cry to the gods.

5Sound Quality Description
Professional commercial quality.

6Vocals Description
The vocals are professional quality. There are many subtle touches that fill out aural variety. It works very well to convey the subject matter.

7Does it work as a piece of music Description
Without question it does.

Indeed, it's been permanently playlisted now.

I suspect the quality of the music will keep it on the play list! Like any reviewer - being consistent is the main thing – even people who disagree with my assessment should still be able to use my reviews as a guideline.

If a review makes me playlist the track and makes me take the time to give it a few listens, I guess.. it must be a pretty good review, no? ;)
