| At 120bpm and with a groovy percussion line, "A tu manera" qualifies as a lounge house track. This is the type of songs you may hear in the "other room" of the dance bar. The arrangement is made in the tradition of this genre - there are no long beatless bridges and the evolution of the subtle melody is minimal yet noticeable - the main drawback in this aspect, is the length of the song. At a little over 3 minutes, this song sounds like a song you would hear as a transition between two more dominant house tracks. As a whole, the selected instruments merge in a pleasant way, perhaps with the exception of the claps, which may be a bit too loud and could use a -2db decrease. The cymbals are nicely done, and do a good job at keeping it interesting - mainly due to the excellent mixing and muting of the cymbal track. Mastering quality is above average. The sound feels wide enough, and the bass chords give the song its needed depth. If you are a fan of chilled, down-tempo house, this is for you. | ||
