1Overall Description
What takes Maim 90 mins to do in a competition, could easily take me a few weeks. This is great stuff and has that tracker feel to it, with emotional strings and electronic/dance beatz that I love and grew up on. Only down point, as with all tracker and compo music, is that the sound quality is old and it finishes abruptly. Otherwise it goes straight onto my play list, and you should give it a listen.
 
2Creativity Description
If you thing about creativity in terms of melody/structure rather than abstract sounds/fx, this is 5 star material. The strings and synth truly capture the mood of the title `Keep Out`. With a great sense of unease and tension, you will be playing this one over and over.
 
3Artistic License Description
Great blend of sounds in here: Orchestral strings and danceable breaks and beatz. All fit in well and sound natural. I like the breakz, with just enough variation to keep it pumping all the way through. Sounds so good for a tracker!!
 
4Arrangement Description
The arrangement is awesome and yhe has a gift for writing music composition. No need for advice. Although I really dislike songs that just stop suddenly: it gives the impression the artist couldn’t finish it and it leaves the listener feeling unsatisfied (especially on moody trax). Please extend it out and then the trax is perfect.
 
5Sound Quality Description
Well considering this was written in Impulse Tracker, Maim maximizes it well. Great panning and all the levels are spot on. One difficult thing I noticed when making trax on tracker software, was that you had to make sure that it didn't sound too hallow. Maim must be a master on the old IT, because this is a full sounding as you can get it.
 
6Does it work as a piece of music Description
Only a fool would think that this does not work as a piece of music. What genre? Well that is difficult. Could be movie action/sfx, but also has a rave/dance like edge. I guess its a fusion of good music.
