1Overall Description
While I think the production and instrumentation was generally solid, I
couldn't help but think that this piece was somewhat unfinished. The
individual sounds are chosen well and for the most part compliment each
other nicely, but there is a quality to it, particularly in the
transitions near the end, that suggest something much bigger that never
arrives. The highlights here are in the sounds, and in a very nice
vertically-oriented groove and progression that I'd like to hear more
of. Don't get me wrong, this is a solid piece, and would sound very
nice as a background to something, but it really left me wanting more.

2Creativity Description
This is a piece about layers. Such works are often panned for not being original, but this one kept the interest going throughout. There is actually more going on here than might be immediately apparent on some sound systems. The piece sounds different on my simple computer speakers versus good headphones, so much that it changes the way I hear the progression going. The bassline in particular, being very fluid against a somewhat more percussion oriented song, lends a very different character when it is prominent than when it is muted. It is worth listening to, in my opinion, in both environments. High marks here.

3Arrangement Description
The transitions are very solid, and the sense of layering is maintained throughout. In particular, the addition of a background synth-string kind of sound around 2:00 and the point near 0:40 when the song really gets going are two high points worth mentioning. There's another part, about 2:43, which I feel exemplifies everything that is good about this song. The layers and movement break down to drums, string, and a lead synth used for accents, and I feel it just has so much charged energy, but ultimately only transitions into the end of the music. I feel like this piece should be something like twice as long as it is, as the moods Din has created really deserve more exploration. I would like to mention the panning as well. Instruments appear all over the soundstage, and I think it works well for the most part, though occasionally I felt that it was distracting. It's a delicate balance, and I think there may be as many opinions on this as there are listeners.

4Sound Quality Description
The quality of the sounds and effects are quite high, though the distorted lead synths scream a bit too much at the high end, and add a piercing sound where I feel it's more detrimental than anything else. I would recommend EQing the highs down somewhat on that instrument. That said, I very much enjoy the sounds on the instruments - Din has chosen some very good sounds for the tonal instruments, and the drums aren't bad at all either. It's a pleasure to listen to while it lasts.
