| A very short and enjoyable, atmospheric chillout song. Strongly reminiscent of Darkhalo and Massive Attack. The song starts with a brush drumloop, which repeats throughout the track. A lone, high-pitched pad fades in. Gradually, more elements are introduced. I like the way the elements all complement each other in the overall arrangment, and how the composition manages to move at an even pace. I don't like: the drums stop at 1:55 too suddenly. The song might be too short, but there's always the "repeat" button for that. ____________________ Creativity: a minimalist soundtrack thing. It's a bit hard to be creative in this domain, but the song sounds nice while it's playing, and I never thought until now about its originality. Artistic license: all the elements work well together and play off each other to create an ominous mood. Arrangement: smooth transitions, though it could use some panning effects. Does it work as a piece of music: yes, it sounds great while it's playing and stands on its own, but I'm a bit bogged down by the realization that this kind of music has been done before. I think this helped... or not. | ||
