1Overall Description
A fairly standard remake of Bridge to the Universe. Unfortunately, this version doesn't add a whole lot to the original. The main problem with this song, and the reason for the low rating, is the sample selection for the lead at the beginning that is used a couple of times in the song. The problem is that the lead is not a single note, it is a note and its fifth. The artist then proceeds to use this "chord" to play the melody, resulting in fifths on every note of the melody, which does not sound good at all. Aside from that, the rest of the samples sound good, and the song is a decent tribute to the original otherwise. The theme is very strong, and the artist successfully captures the feeling. But this is really a case where one major flaw, especially at the beginning, eliminates any enjoyment I would get out of this one. It's an easy fix, just replace the lead with something else, and this song gets at least a 3, perhaps a 4.

Roncli, you have a closed mind when it comes to music. "The problem is that the lead is not a single note, it is a note and its fifth." This is acceptable in the 21st (and 10th) century, though evidently not in the century you are stuck in....
