1Overall Description
Fun chip song that really manages to catch that old-school feeling. I could easily imagine this music in a Razor 1911 splash screen before the actual game starts loading. Solid handiwork.
2Creativity Description
There's nothing in this song that I haven't heard in chipsongs before, but what is here is very well done. Chipsongs are, after all, all about melody, and this song does not disappoint on that note. There's plenty of things to like here; a groovy rhythm and bass line, cool melodies, and just lots and lots of chip instruments!
3Arrangement Description
The song flows nicely throughout, and really gets your head bobbing. There are, however, some small problems too, and together they add up a little. First, the song just fades in, which is rarely an optimal way to begin. Second, both the transitions in the song are made in the same way: by slowing down and then changing rhythm. Judging from the technical level of the rest of the arrangement, I was expecting something a bit more clever. Finally, on the nitpicky note, I'm not overly fond of the rhythm 0:50-1:13, as it sounds to me like there's just something wrong with it. Apart from these points of critique, the piece is obviously made by someone with considerable tracking acumen.
4Does it work as a piece of music Description
It definitely does, although the transitions mentioned in the arrangement section chops things up a little bit too much for such a short song. But really, no chip song fan will be left disappointed.
