1Overall Description
This is an excellent example of what true acid should sound like. Acid was what got me into electronica - so most of these ratings are made with respect to the genre. Notwithstanding, I do like to try and maintain that a song must have its own integrity - being able to stand completely on its own two feet. I think the overall is actually closer to 4.75. This song is not quite anything new. However, I wouldn't feel right giving it a 4, so I will give it a 5. This song is good after all. It might of been possible to make it more progressive and build up more suspense (which is a personal taste of mine). If you had done this, I wouldn't even be discussing 4.75 right now. It would be a 5 with less discussion :)

2Creativity Description
I wouldn't say its groundbreaking. But it is so well executed - its repetitiveness does not ever get annoying (despite its acid nature). I think its possible for you to have built up more excitement during the song, but even some of the best acid I've ever heard does not ever quite reach the level I desire. so no biggie. Yours was good.

3Arrangement Description
decent. nothing really new to the world... It wasn't a "mind-blower." BUT IT WAS GOOD. Yes, it was "predictable" in a sense- I expected a breakdown towards the end and was rewarded. If you hadn't of met that expectation, I would've been disappointed. (and so would many others I suspect) Also, Very well timed "acid-like" transitions. Example - the little "double thump" thing you have before the kick goes 2x near the beginning. I liked that. These transitions helpd make this a solid 5. I believe these kinds of transitions make the genre, and you certainly executed them well.

4Sound Quality Description
Some notes: Scratchy drums - Excellent usage. (also appreciated the pounce of the kick). At first I felt adverse to the style, but then a deep appreciation grew. It all went together purposefully. I would've liked to hear the 303-breakdown a teency bit louder in the end. But in a way I enjoyed hearing it mingle with the noise- it gave it a hypnotic effect. (So I didn't dock any points for that.) Nice use of slides and moderate frequency bending. By the way, If you had tried bending your frequencies any farther during your final breakdown section, I think I would've rated this section at a high 3. Acid breakdowns are usually not so extreme that they are unbalanced. It would have destroyed the song's acid soul if you had gone any farther. If there would have been more bass-ier notes or something to give it a biggerbottom - i think this could've fleshed out the overall sound. (see Comments to the Artist section)

5Does it work as a piece of music Description
I give this a 5 for underscoring the Acid genre SO WELL! way to go. It has been a while since I have heard good -true- acid in a while. I'd almost go so far as to say - look up Acid in the dictionary and you'll find this song as one of the examples. Several details stood out - - - A.RYTHM: firstly, the cycling tumbling bass that began in the beginning. Secondly, the offset 303 note that came right before the 4-1/2 beat but then switched to follow right after the 4-1/2 beat (i'm glad it wasn't right on the 4 1/2 beat. how boring that would've been right? heh) VERY VERY GOOD. Thirdly, The panning drum sound: I'm glad you panned something. Fourthly, beat breakdowns that would ocurr before you realize it. Rythm is one of the things I love about acid - and I believe you nailed it in this respect. - - -
B.ACID SOUND: Firstly, the 303 (at least i think it was a 303) - your use of the main instrument was patiently executed. Secondly, the frenzied frequency bending at the end FULFILLED expectations. Which was a good thing. Thirdly, However, you took some creative liberties with the reverb (i believe). Not my personal tastes, but just for throwing in these sorts of nuances, I let it add to the points :) IN fact, I say "keep running wild with that sort of stuff." I attribute this to the "standing on its own" factor. The more I listen the more this grows on me - i'd better finish this review quick. a 5 if not a high 4 for this section because of how well you pulled things off for this song.
