| I thought I review a Khin track that no one else has so here goes... Being an intro track it sets the energy well to whatever is coming next. It's a nice mix between synth-technicalism and metal groove. What makes the song is the modulating arpeggios over the steady bass groove creating a filmic meditation ripe to set that stage for drama. What lets the track down is the mix, but having said that nothing necessarily is going wrong. But, much can be done to better emphasise both power and ambience. The fake 'guitar' sounds exactly that: fake - whereas it could have been warped and spread to perform the same sonic function but take on a new characteristic (e.g. via distortion and filtering). Despite being a fairly safe genre the tune does add something fresh and interesting. A document in the art and energy of balance! | ||
