1Overall Description
the stereo synths are kinda creepy,in a god way :) very mellow feeling this instilss for me - i have to admit that i'm quite drunk so that will prolly affect my judgement. I like the progression in this song, the intro has just the right about elements to keep it interesting. But the main melody with the synth lead is imo too cheezy - maybe change some notes to make it more interesting. Also, the synths sound quite preset oriented - how about making your own? The melody which starsts at 2:50 has a nice feel to it, but imo needs more deviation to make it really interesting. Good breakdown at the end. This just needs more diversity with the melodic instruments and more variation with the drums to keep the listener interested till then end. As it is, it works as a tune but doesn't really add anything to the genre.

2Creativity Description
Quite basic chillout music imo, nothing really new for me.

3Arrangement Description
The strings could use some stereo separation (this can be done very easily with izotope ozone dor example) The main melody s a bit cheesy for my taste, but then again, opinions are like... you know. The conga(?) drums are well panned at some points of the song. Otherwise perhaps it would be useful for the artist to use plugins which show the stereo spectrum, which helps A lot in differentiating the trackd from each other

4Sound Quality Description
Basic stuff. Nothing special. Nice cricket fx in the background, tho they coud've been placed differently on the stereo specrum imo. No real interferences between instruments. The mixdown could've been a bit louder - you could do that with freeware comressors and limiters. Overall the sounds don't ovelap, but don't really stand out either - more volume and mixing w/m eq's. compressors et al and this would sound really different. The background synths get kinda lost in the mix, also the bd and snare need more punch to give the track a personality - because now it sounds nice, and nothing but nice. You don't want your tune to sound like that?

5Does it work as a piece of music Description
Yeah, it works. But it's imo nothing really original - some deviation in the lead melody and breaks, pehaps some additional instruments after the first breakdwon would've given this and edge - now it sounds like a basic chillout tune, which isn't of course bad, but doesn't realy add anything to the genre.

For CRAQ's sake, don't review when you're drunk!

Sorry, didn't mean to sound rude. I was quite drunk whilst writing this review... And chillout for me means all kinds of mellow music - and for me, I do tend to concentrate on the technical side a bit much, but that's just how I sometimes listen to music... peace!

I have to be honest and state this review feels more like a critique of my producing/sound engineering abilities more than anything else. If I'd have wanted this kind of critique, then I guess I should have chosen 'advanced' instead of 'intermediate'. I know my productions skills are very limited, and I'm sure you're just trying to help me out here, but the review just seems to rub my nose in it?. I dunno. Maybe I'm wrong?. Maybe it's too late at night and I'm tired ;)
