1Overall Description
This one is long, which can be taken as both something good and something bad. Fortunately there's much, much more good in this than bad. Things start off with what I might call the song of giant, irradiated crickets (Three-mile Island crickets, if you will); very relaxing but slightly unearthly. Once the drifting, ambient qualities subside, your ears are greeted by a walking pace, up beat caribbean-style rhythm and melody. One thing this song excels at is good use of dynamics. You've got soothingly quiet parts building to bold, emotionally-charged proclamations. Overall a very nice mix of instruments, although I don't necessarily agree with the use of the stereo field (that might be more a matter of personal preference). Many of the melodic parts are placed very heavily left or right, leaving the center a little empty sounding in places.

I like the piano that comes in at 8:10-ish. I would have liked it better with less extreme panning and a little more embellishment before the transition at 9:28-ish featuring the dark synth bassline. I really like the movement that starts at 13:18-ish, especially after the piano joins it at 14:16; very VERY nice. :)

Drums are nice and varied, spread out across the stereo field. Nice use of bongos (or are they congas?) for an 'island paradise' flavoring.

Overall, it's a very good piece with only a few things that could be done to improve it.

2Creativity Description
Very creative, lots of variety, and lots of activity. It's a teensy bit slow to get moving in places, but it doesn't bore at all.

3Arrangement Description
The choice of panning positions for lead instruments is my biggest complaint, but that could be dismissed as a matter of taste. I like listening to music on headphones (where the panning here is undeniably severe), and that has greatly influenced my scoring.

4Sound Quality Description
There might be room in there for tweaking EQ in the high (10kHz-ish and up) and near-subsonic low ends (maybe 60Hz and below just listening...maybe a little higher), but I think it would be minimal. I'd give it something between a 4 and 5 if I could, but I have to round down since it's not quite perfect. Again, this might just be personal preference.

5Does it work as a piece of music Description
It sounds like a well-structured, completed piece of music.
