1Overall Description
I haven't heard the original song here, so I can't really compare the two versions, but never mind that... I'll judge it on its own terms.

On the surface this is quite repetitive, as some elements stay pretty much the same throughout the song, but repeated listenings reveal that there is some interesting stuff going on - subtle chord changes, variation in the percussion, and so on. What makes this song special is the combined effect of the monotone, almost drone-like atmosphere, and the little changes that happen throughout. The obvious feedback to give would be that the synths could use a bit more variation, but I'm actually not sure I want that... that would be a totally different song.

2Arrangement Description
I can actually see how this is based on a game soundtrack song, as it would probably work quite well looped. Layers are added and removed as we go along, but there is no build-up and no sense of conclusion at the end, really, but that's part of the atmosphere I guess. Question is, can this type of music stand on its own? If it's interesting enough, I'd say yes. And I would probably say that this is interesting enough to keep my attention for 4 minutes. Probably not longer though, without a game to distract me.

3Sound Quality Description
Excellent use of filters and reverb on the synths. It sounds pretty digital and 'cold' but a lot of synth music is like that and I like it. It doesn't have that 'chip music' quality at all, which I appreciate.
