1Overall Description
I imagine a loungey sofa corner in a cafe downtown, people drinking coffe, reading the newspapers and smoking cigarettes (well, probably not ...), having a break from the hectic routine on the streets and at their offices ...

The arrangement and the mastering are nicely done, the instruments fit well together. I especially liked the bassline contrasting with the lead bells. Not so much to my liking was the noise that sets in at about 1:23 and then again at 2:40, but I guess that's part of the ambience from the cafe? Maybe the espresso machines running? The rest of the ambience sounds do not disturb the auditive impression that much, although they used to wake me up from that loungey feeling I kept falling into ...

The track produces a chilly loungey atmosphere that gets disturbed from time to time by ambience sounds (which is not a negative point). It starts as it ends - reduced to a few instruments - and crescends and decrescends during the main part to build up the atmosphere. Sadly it's only 4:30, I could have listened to it all morning playing in the background :-)

What I missed was a little more variation. I guess that's what makes it a chillout track - that it doesn't vary much and keeps a certain atmosphere. When I first heard the track, I expected a change in the arrangement to occur ... but it was the end of the track in fact.

All in all a nice and solid work, but only 4* from me for stated reasons.
