1Overall Description
Oneliner: If you enjoy orchestral music with a dark new age feel, then you've the right piece. Bluezone brings us a much welcomed piece of new age orchestral music. My first impressions were of the overwhelming imagery that I got from the composition. The writing manages to be somewhat dark, but the use of a brilliantly produced choir sample shines new brightness into the piece. My main qualm was that the piece ended rather suddenly, with a boring fade out, not characteristic of orchestral music by any means. I enjoyed the classical guitar riff, but found trouble with the super-vibrato violin sample. For next time, try to avoid such close intervals in the lower octaves of the strings, because it creates a very muddy sound that doesn't come out well, regardless of whether post processing is present or not. Overall, a beautiful choir and interesting textures make this a worthwhile piece. Good work.
