1Overall Description
Land of Sorrow is a relaxing new age journey that shows a lot of potential. With a little more dynamic work, a bit of mixing, and some sample and sequence fine-tuning, we'd have pretty great piece on our hands. Musically, this piece is excellent. If the same piece of music was to be performed by a professional orchestra, than I believe the results would be perfect, but without that, musicians are left to their own devices. In the end, it's sequencing work that this track needs the most. Overall, this is an excellent piece, and it's a shame that it isn't living up to its potential. I hope to hear more from this artist, I am curious what a little more experience will result in. (:

2Creativity Description
The track is plenty creative; musically, nothing is dull here. The melodies are refreshing and everything creates an interesting sound. I also have a weak spot for classical instrumentation mixed with something 'fresh,' like drums.

3Arrangement Description
This song is arranged very well musically, but it's sequencing leaves more to be desired. Dynamics would really boost the quality of this piece, and add a little more realism. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of attention to mixing, as you can hear a very distinct muddy quality in the mix. This is probably the biggest problem that keeps this mix from truly standing out. Other than that, the arrangement is sound. Again, a more extensive use of dynamics would help bring out the beautiful melodies that deserve a little more shine.

4Sound Quality Description
The sound quality is where the real problem lies in this piece for me. As I mentioned in the arrangement section, there is a very distinct muddy quality to the mix. While this could be somewhat remedied with the addition of dynamics in the music, an overall adjustment of volumes would really help as well, and help give the instruments a sense of position (panning is a good thing). Apart from that, the samples are all fairly good, with the exception of the violin that demonstrates an excessive vibrato, especially in the higher registers. Because the notes seem to cut off abruptly from note to note, the sampled nature of the instrument seems to take more attention than the melody itself. A useful tip would be to layer notes over one another. Let each previous note hang a little over the next one (we're talking a very fractional amount of time) to help increase realism in strings. On a positive note, the drums sit very well with this particular mix, which is a tricky feat to accomplish in an orchestral piece. Good work.
