Year: 2007

Artist's description:
Although not strictly DnB, An intricately constructed hard-hitting track, with ambient transitions - almost two different moods at times. I wanted to capture both of the Sea Mines attributes...The aggressive and dangerous associations, and It's calm wait for an inevitable end. Almost sad in a way at times, but the shell of the track is simmering with heat...so butter your toast with it!

Inspiration:
I got inspired when I decided to research the impact Naval (sea) mines have had on our war history (despite me being anti-war).

Consider my toast buttered. That is one splendid track right there. Love the little glitchy details. And the guitar is fits like glove to the awesomeness. If there's anything I would like a tad more lowend on the guitar, but absolutely ace stuff. 4,99/5

Fat, chunky electro-breakbeat track. This song grabs you and doesn't let go. Very nice work.

Thanks for the input! The electric guitar takes the place of lead bass, so that sub-ish bass you hear is also electric guitar with a low pass filter - and it's not meant to be prominent. I guess the track is more industrial than anything else - no intrusive bass like dnb has.

The drums and guitar/synth line are excellent, but the sub-ish bass seems to be down at the bottom all by itself, not really attached to the rest of the song. Nice pad work (let's not forget). My toast is buttered :)

Metallic cold and aggressive tune. The violent nature of the song shows no mercy. Fast very fast, but also near perfection. Thumbs up.

Congrats Eyespire! You were successful in capturing the elements of naval danger and that dangerous calm you spoke of in the description. I love the play between melodies during the break, followed by the easy yet apt clap of the waves painted by the drums. It makes me want to play shadowrun, which i love to do ^_^
