Album:
Canarysongs (Track #47)

Artist's description:
This song incorporates my "Drum Loop Compo Entry #5", but it should not be viewed as a song that was just structured around a simple beat. I've had some ideas for this tune brewing in my head for about a month now. I started putting it together, got stuck, then realized that the beat I had made for Spectra's Drum Loop Compo would fit perfectly with this. So the two combined forces and voila, we have a complete song.

It should be noted that I am right now considering this my magnum opus... I tend to think that way about each new song I make, but this one had a really special feeling to it while I was producing it. Most of my music comes partially from the heart and partially from the brain, but this one is a pure outpouring of the soul. I hope you enjoy hearing it as much as I have enjoyed birthing it.

An absolutely wonderfully built d'n'b tune with an excellent rhythm and just fantastic Arabic edge. The bass line is perfect. The progression throughout the song is excellent as also the transitio... Read full review

As I read the name Babylon, I thought of middle east musics, Arabic, perhaps Persian or even Hindi. When I saw it was labeled as d'n'b and progressive, I said to myself that this can be anything but... Read full review

Definitely a crowning achievement. That bass, the percussion, the lyrics and the Arabic elements are doper than heroin in Layne Staley's bloodstream. Big ups, holmes. 5 stars!

I didn't like this canary, Simply loved it, and will do so for ages. Tremendous sonic presentation, astonishing musical work and one man made marvel is this music.

Your praise means a great deal to me, friend- your works were a major inspiration for the melodic structure of this song. It brings me joy that you like it.

6 minutes of pure joy and trip. The bassline is so beautiful that I'm addicted to this tune. The drum work I won't get into, all I say is that hail canary for producing such beat. The use of Reaktor 5 is professionally done, it would even surprise the maker of Reaktor 5. ............. I hear oriental elements in this one, This is an instrument called al-nafs in Arabic and neylabak in Persian. You bring those elements in such harmony that I almost wanted to start crying. The nature of this music maybe d'n'b but this is so much more, this is even beyond music... this is work of art, truly state of art music that is here to stay in my PC for many many many years to come. Hail canary.

Din makes a point, just a bit louder... I really like the bassline.. and the break is awesome.. true dnb.. hmm I think there could have been a bassline change after the super awesome break in the track.. hmm besides that, it's perfect.. I really like how the track feels.

Nice. I think the exotic string (I've heard it in Middle-eastern contexts before, but I'm not sure if that's where it's from or if it's just more Hollywood bull)...anyway, I think that stringed instrument could be just a touch louder in the mix (not too much, though). Otherwise, fantastic tunage :D
