Crazy good...this grooves like d&b yet sounds majestic like a real orchestra without losing the playfulness of demo-scene-style music. At 0:50 you've got these mad staccato string stabs and at times like 1:05 you have this vibrato that just makes the note above and below it seem to sway with it...and 1:28-1:32 has this dramatic ascending melodic build-up that somehow manages not to conflict with the million other things going on around it...these tricks make everything groove (and since when can orchestral music, known for its static rhythms, groove? :-) ). Not to mention it's fun, the fact there is only one major repeated thing and everything else seems done on improv./"jamming" rather than through the usual cheezy/obvious ascending/descending themes I usually here in classical music, not to mention the fun little demo-style add-ins. The 7/8 meter use is also quite amusing, gives it kind of a turntable-istic feel. These all keep this song from sounding academic. All this...not to mention the orchestral arrangements sound like they are a LIVE ORCHESTRA...how on earth did you manage that level of sound quality? 5 stars from me...this song is ace.

That 7/8 sounds cool. I must try to play it with my drums. :)

I, for the most part, will play everything on piano a few times before I actually decide to compose a track. I play with various instrumentations and synths until inspiration finally stikes. In this case, I wrote some of the song many years previous, so the matter there was rearranging it. The 7/8 section was actually improvised for the most part, only a few harmonic details were thought out in my head before I 'composed' them. I like to think I've come to a point in my skill where basic musical theory comes very natural to me (not to say I can't do the advanced stuff) so it makes it easy for me to arrange on the fly. Thanks for the kind words :D

Yea man, you rock. That 7/8 segment is Unreasonably Enjoyable; i love counting odd rhythms ( still can't figure out anything outside of improvisation in stranger time signatures.) Do you write out your pieces in notation by any chance? I'm with space walk on this one.

It would be unfair if you didn't become some top notch game/movie musician with great salary and one huge and famous name. I mean just listen to this piece and everything I just said becomes clear. Such a young soul yet so rich in skills and talents I haven't seen anywhere else. Breath taking this music is. Excellent work.
