Artist's description:
An experiment in basically hitting record, and playing whatever comes to me first. No meddling, re-recording, no fixing of playing errors or mistakes, minimal eq'ing and mastering.. all effects recorded thrpugh outboard equipment live, not added afterwards except when I felt a particular note had to be emphasised (but not upon a playback listen, during the actual recording) ... and also, in this case, no effort has been made to reduce background noise.. in fact I try to make use of the humming/buzzing.

I tend to over-analyse when i'm writing, which can sometimes cause problems with my creative process and hinder results. Last night I decided to hit record, select an instrument and just play. Once that track was recorded, I added another instrument, and another, until I decided to finish. I guess I was trying to find some sort of free-flow of my subconcious to try and find out how my music would normally sound... I guess this is such a result... a dark, dirty ambient soundscape..more experiments to come!!

(note - if you are looking for masterpeices, look elsewhere you will not find them here)

Sounds profoundly like "Space Boy" of the Smashing Pumpkins album Siamese Dream....love the way you mixed the background effects in. It's a one melody wonder, on the surface, but the wails and sparkles of the background give it dimension. I wouldn't listen to it on my own time but, at the same time, I very much admire it as a musician and former guitarist in that never ending quest for authentic moods.

It's amazing how much the desire to do better can kill what's already great. This has the marks of a nice, loose, down-beat rock song, with lots of ambient wailing and deep reverb on odd things going on in the background (embellishing what's already there ;). Me likey :D

Thankyou Spacewalk, I had a few glasses of wine, and was generally very relaxed. I didnt really care how it sounded, but upon relistening I think I somehow managed to capture the odd good moment!! I emplore you to have a go!!! I want a large collection of these experiments, I want to write a little report on them afterwards ;o) It is important not to care at the finished recording... care enough to know when to stop, but not enough to DELETE!! ;o)

Truly amazing idea behind this one. What ever the mind thinks and heart feels becomes audible. The music sounds chilly, I want to believe that either you were pretty much relaxed or you didn't care how it sounded but just played and recorded. I was listening to your work together with a friend... and he says the whole music smells like weed rapped up in a good joint ;o)
