True... Although I didn't *ignore* it - it just became "ambient". :D It really is great stuff, LV.

As Brian Eno said: Ambient music must be able to accommodate many levels of listening attention without enforcing one in particular; it must be as ignorable as it is interesting.

This reminded me of the music in games like the Myst franchise (especially the later ones). I enjoyed it... Although I must admit that I was working on my honours project while listening to it. :)

Hmm, I think netlabels have listeners, who might search this kind of music. But that's just my opinion. I myself am happy, that you released this song here Tis.. =)

Wow! Thx for the link... I looked through netlabel stuff... question is this - what is the point of releasing at a netlabel when all they do is put out your music for free streaming/downloading?

Floating, time seems to slow down. Thank you for sharing it here. Have you offered your work to netlabel ? You can find list here ; http://www.phlow.de/netlabels/index.php/Special:Categories

I think I will release Arrival as a single. I also have ideas on Ritual, maybe I'll rework it a little, keeping the lengths though.

No problem, ) This piece is not supposed to hold your attention, though. When I write ambient music, my first aim is to put person into a certain surrounding, a space, a place in the Universe. It creates an atmosphere which is there and it cannot be short as a place in space cannot change so quickly. So if your attention wandered - that's ok to me.

Hehe, nothing to be sorry about. I wonder though, if length were to be reduced to a half or a quarter, would it have caught more your attention..

Sorry to say, I just don't think I like this one. As opposed to Ippu's excellent programamtic series, this does not hold my attention. Not tha I don't like VL's work - I certainly do like others, just not this one. I imagine VL would feel the same about Sonata01 but for opposite reasons.

Well, I used to have "assistance" when I listened to Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream alot ;-) You are right - I will try again.

Well, i've just listened to the whole track and it really is a great ambience piece. Now, I'd say that some might see it with way too many extra lengths, and some might just love how the track is super-slowly progressing. It's all a matter of taste. And moment. Great tune, Mr Verrona.

With a track this long, one does need to bring it full attention, all the way. Because, as Mr Verrona says, it is all about slow progressions and subtle developments. I need to listen to it more than once, though. In any case, this is very well done.

Nice and fantasies in artist description.

I don't know. I just wrote it, without any special intentions. You do need to have some ambient listening experience to "not fall asleep", and the tune rewards the listener with slow development, especially towards the end.

I don't know what to say - I listened to all of it - but it became a background and my attention wandered - its really long but also unobtrusive. Is this what you intended?
