Artist's description:
This is a classic-rock remastering of Taroeel's song "Guitar Hero". I used his source .IT file, exported it to separate WAVs per instrument using XMPlay, and mixed it back together and tweaked it in Sonar 5 (26 tracks, each about 37MBs...950-ish MB total :O).

This is my first attempt at remastering someone else's work, so be sure to share your thoughts and recommendations.

Contributors:
Great big thank you to Taroeel for giving me the OK to do this :D

Actually, Taroeel had already done a lot of EQ tweak on the guitar samples beforehand (his own custom recorded samples). I gave a little 1kHz-ish boost to the lead so it wailed a smidge more, but most of the hard work of clean up was already done :D

Very well done, good flair with emotion (a bit like Joe Satriani's early songs IE The Summer Song)... Shoot, are those pinch harmonics (not easy to do well) on some of the leads (and somehow, Din, you kept them from sounding squeaky)?! And the perfectly executed bends really come out in this mix as well. Sounds almost live even though it was made from an .it files thanks to both good tracking skills and production tweaks. Taroeel's guitar playing /and Din's mixing skills = great combo! Haha....maybe you should remix some of my old tracks. :-D -> :-)

Thanks :D I wanted to showcase the great guitar going on in the background. It's too bad I couldn't boost the drumset just a little more without dropping the RMS of the whole mix.

this is 1000 etter produced than the original. You manged to bring all of the excellent guitar work that was somewhat obscured in the original and brought it blazing out front! I hope Taroeel likes it - I certainly do!
