Nystart EP (Track #3)

Artist's description:
Third part of my break-up trilogy. After being sad and then angry, I felt OK. I felt almost happy.

I could look back and feel "We had our moments, it was great. But now I've moved on."

And damn, I had some BIG problems re-mastering this one. Still learning I guess :)

Could be not the best Soem's track on TiS but nonetheless, this is still a good and solid trance track, almost flawless and with some quite pleasant synth lines. This is meant to be played loud and o... Read full review

Wow, thanks! I'm glad you liked the bass, I remember spending a lot of time making it right.. This is one of those tracks I'd love to re-make, or let someone remix... would probably be very intressting result.

That bass is something very cool. And all the other textures of this song. I was waiting someone to come and sing. But still this song is a masterpiece. Very deep. Amazing trip.

BTW Interesting concept of making a trilogy of breakup. What I liked the most is that the music doesn't have any specific destination, instead it just floats around.

With something like this, how the hell do you dear to call yourself an amateur?. From a melodic point of view is this one absolutely flawless project. Very soft, very nice and very perfect.

Thanks a lot! I know you're picky with the music, so I really appreciate it! :)

Very addictive melodies and a very unique, almost ambient-crossover mood and I love the way you make the synthesizers "bubble up" from the background...keep it up! Also...very moody and intelligent sound as opposed to just showing off the power of the kick, bass, lead arpeggios like most trance...almost Matthew DeKay-ish...a very welcome change.

I hear you on this, neither easy not always a good thing to re-work something you've felt right at that moment. And anyway, it remains a good, solid trance track as is, without a doubt.

I totally agree with you (fading mix, and some levels). But, I decided to let it be. I don't want to change something I felt was right 6 years ago.. :)

It's always an uneasy thing to comment on one's choices, regarding arrangements and such, because you had yur own vision when you made them. So, I'd only say that I'm not totally "convinced" by the way you bring the beat in, with that fading in mixing. It's a little too straight. Aside that, this is really a good trance track! Lines, bass, beats, modulations: all very well mixed and blent in. Maybe.. some levels to adjust or fine tune here and there.
