Artist's description:
The beginning of my first industrial track and tribute to one heck of a musician, critic, and person, "Din".
It gladly features enough edgy distortion, chorus, pitch-bending, and compression effects to floor my PC. :-D
-----------------------
I'm still trying to get the right things together for the melodies (and get inspiration to write some killer addictive lead lines) but, until that happens, enjoy this little groove... :-)

Contributors:
Din (duh?!). You've been telling my I should write an industrial song for ages and I owe you far too much for all your clever musical advice...so, it's about time I took a shot at this. :-)

For the record, yes, that means I am giving this rather crunchy track another shot. :-)

Hey Din... Not yet...I was for a bit but ditched it due to running out of ideas for melodies and the general disgust toward my music and so-called "stupid personal intentions" on here that led me to DJ'ing live, a group project...virtually anything not on this site. I will come back to it, though...it doesn't take mass popularity just take a few people like you to say "you mean something to this scene". Thank you! :-)

Those and the ones offered by thecanary are the bulk of my library ;) There's also a good free loop collection at www.maz-sound.com (Coocane, the only one in WAV format).

Good sample-finding idea...I may try that. :-)

Drp! http://tracker.modarchive.org You'll need a BitTorrent client of some kind.

Anticipation... Have you checked out the Mod Archive's Waveworld sample collection? 1.3GB of everything from basses, pads, drums and drum loops, and odd percussion to piano, organs, and some symphonic orchestra instruments if I remember correctly.

I am working on build this...I know progress has been slow...I'm just having one heck of a time finding samples and sound that can match the power of the drum-line for this. :-D

You really should build on this one. This has the potentials.

Definitely industrial. I'd love to hear that kick kick a bit more. :)

Man I like that beat :) I lean toward industrial because it bends or breaks a lot of rules for traditional music, like excessive distortion, stilted rhythm sections with unusual candences, and varying degrees of audio mutilation. It's hard to mess it up :) I may wear this track out by the time you have the rest of the song ready.

ARRRGGGHH! It chopped up my post >:( What I said was...well, this is a great foundation on which to lay all kinds of industrial goodness, but the comment box apparently doesn't like umlauts. "Deutsches Institut fur Normung" (pretend there's an umlaut over the 'u' in 'fur'). Excellent drum line. Thanks for the nod :)

:O :D You like the Deutsches Institut f
