Excellent scratching mixed with a break and a sax creates a nice oldschool new york image in my mind, I also like the commentary that goes with the track too. About the only drawback is the calmer part towards the end where the warm strings come in, they feel very generic.. but besides that, I really enjoy this track and hope that you explore this sound more as there's not enough of this genre being made these days :) (I'm a huge fan of Kojak that has this sound down to a science too)

I like the tracks over here, "Radical Shake Up" is a nice mix of styles...a feel of old school hip hop with the turn tables, jazz and electronica with the sax, etc. etc. The DJ pieces were put in at perfect places. I'm feelin it man.

Listen to Run DMC...and I'm sure you'll find a lot of commonalities. Granted, Run DMC was great...I'm just saying it has been done before. Alizhen's Drifter Quilin, for example, and to some extent "Boxed In", which has mixed d&b-ish/hip-hop style, have never been done before.

Cool track, I like the Ali-beatz-hen as usual. The sax is saxy and the turntable is shreddin yummy - you da man.

I can't think this wasn't ordinary like ejectra did...I think the mood was very new and newer heard before (at least for me)

Smokin' sounds; bringin' it back old school. Love the synth work also. Big ups to DJ Izzy as well.

Love the sultry sax combination with the trippy reverse drums. A cool high cowbell/conga type drum comes in for the last 15 seconds...but why not much earlier in the song? Although the basic vibe here is very refreshing, yet nothing comes across as strikingly original, and the turn-tablism seems to just show off skill more than it does add vibe...and it ends up becoming no more than a very well done song with a very predictable, if clever, vibe. Beat rotations with the snare would help, changing the mood of the song at least once (beside the cool but way too late change in chords at 2:35 and beat at the end IE about 2:50) would help save this piece from sounding a bit too ordinary.
