Thanks! The funny thing is the first time the chords are played the "bent" blue tones are used...the second time, they aren't. So it's aimed to give the effect of different angles on the same mood. :-)

----I'm curious how this would sound with finger picked guitar, something warm sounding like nylon strings instead of bronze or steel. It might also translate well to something tribal, like tuned percussion. ///////////////////// These are all good ideas, fact is this isn't blues but rather a scale based on the blues scale and thus closer to blues than anything else. BTW, if you have some good clav samples, those do sound fun to use, I already overuse acoustic guitar samples. :-D

I meant it more as a possibility. I think I might have a few clav samples I could share.

What about a simple clav? Or would that be drifting too far from the blues flavor?

I got a fair classical guitar sample if anyone is interested

As in a honky tonk that's been wounded in one too many shoot outs? I'm curious how this would sound with finger picked guitar, something warm sounding like nylon strings instead of bronze or steel. It might also translate well to something tribal, like tuned percussion. I can hear the blues in it, but it's a little too short and demo-ish for me to say whether I can make sense of it as a blues piece. Does that make sense or am I babbling?

Old West of out tune?!?! Hehehe...do you mean the kind of Hawaiian jazz "drunk" bending sound?! Dare I admit...I love that sound...and bends explain half the reason I fell in love with guitar playing ages ago (tapping and harmonics explains much of the other half)

this I like - has a mad quality to it and yet again an old west out of tune sound
