Glad you enjoyed it. :-)---------------The inspiration (of all things) came from looking through funk-style brass instruments on a sample cd....and heard a very cool trip-hop drum loop...and then thinking "sweet, very abstract and playful...but needs more speed and punch".------------------------------------- So I added a 5 or so quantized drums to the loop and boosted the mid range EQ (adding punch to the best of my ability)...then doubled the tempo from 90bpm to 180bpm and started mixing it up with 12 or so loop points on my keyboard. I made a point of making the snares hit on off-beats to make the rhythm sound abstract and using high resonant HPFs for the windy sound you hear of the breakdowns.-------It started off as a "just for fun" 30 second demo track but Din and a few others convinced me it was worth making into a full track. --------------------- I was partly inspired by the Canary (on this site's) work, the poly-rhythms in African music, and D-fast's funk track work (because good funk in hard to find nowadays and I miss it).

That deep bass hits home. There is a nice focus of progression on the melodic elements of the song throughout most of the song. And, towards the end, you hit up some progressive percussion. This rings a huge bell for old school Juju. It's the deep house of DnB. The skills show here for mood and melody, and I salute you!!!
