Artist's description:
I recently bought Tau Pro, a nifty softsynth which bases itself on the classic 303 synth, but expands upon it and makes it far more flexible. This track is actually the result of my first experiments with Tau Pro (hence the Tau Ceti name). I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with my purchase. :)

Tau Ceti was deliberately composed as a background piece. Don't download this and expect the same kind of trance as, say, Lucid Dreams. It's not. There aren't really any fetching melodies that will stick in your head for days. It's more about the sound and the mood. Please keep this in mind when adding comments or reviews. :)

The following VSTs where used in the making of this track:

Tau Pro - All the basses, effects and leads were made with this.

Zero-G Trance Inducer - The drums.

Voices of Passion - The female vocals.

EWQL Symphonic Orchestra - The violins.

Spectrasonics Atmosphere - The subtle sweep you can sometimes hear in the background.

EWQL Colossus - The piano.

Sequencer used: Renoise

Well, I've been composing new music all the time, but most of it is being composed for my company, and I have no right to publish it on my own, sadly. I don't have any such jobs to do right now, which is why you're seeing more music from me. :)

Tau Ceti is also the name of a Commodore 64 game. As for this song, it's not too shabby. Hearing this, I think of DJ Huggie from the very first rave I attended.

On that note, I should try this in Audiosurf.

Sounds like something I'd hear in GTR, except a tad bit more upbeat. Very enjoyable textures.

I agree would work great in a sci-fi racing game.

not really my type of music - though the samples sound really good.

Interesting... Now that you mention it, I think this music would work very well for a racing game. :)

This is splendid background stuff, but that's pretty much all there is to it. Should add it into a video or a game where you just cruise around with a beautiful car on beautiful landscapes to take the mood up through the roof.
