Artist's description:
Inspired by a comment solo made on my profile. I have plans of some lyrics, but that will have to wait until I'm lyrically inspired again.

I'll be reuploading this one to address my neurosis regarding the default MP3 sampling rate: I prefer 192 but I goofed and converted this one at 128 without noticing. I guess I'm rusty :/

I loved this from the first beat. I looked down and saw my feet patting to the beat and my head just swaying to the funk. I think I'm gonna have to pull my axe out and jam to this. Has a taste... Read full review

That's actually sort of how it happened. I don't think I'll abandon the one just yet ;) Thanks bunches :D

This is Crystal Method BT Fluke Dust Brothers style scrumptious ear food. I love big beat style anyway. I think this whole idea was a winner in the first two minutes but you seem to have struggled with a good chord progression to keep the feel and ride out an ending that kept the same energy level. Has happened to me plenty anyway, I really think you may want to take another approach with your outro progression that starts around 2:00 it just seems to be overcomplicated and loses focus from the wicked beats you begin with. OK now you hate me.

Thanks, man :) I've actually got to fix at least one other thing. The MP3 is sampled at 128 instead of my preferred 192...and I can't stand the aliasing now that I know it's there >:( I guess I got sloppy in the conversion :/ Glad you like it though :)

What to say glad to see you back in business...love the beats this time around...liquid feel far as how the drums mesh together but with the kind of aggressive/gritty sound of the individual drums you are famous here for. The breakdown at 1:10 is particularly cool, giving kind of hazy fantasy/demo-style feel before it throws you right back into the tornado of funk beats. The best thing about this is...it keeps a demo-style-like amount of melodic ingenuity and crazy leads with portamento/vibrato/filters...and combines it with very high-energy polished and layered breakbeat work. Around 2:15-2:20 the bass and lead seem to fight a bit causing a sort of in-between moods feel that doesn't quite do it for me...you may want to try more complex chords to avoid harmonics repeating on certain octaves (IE a4 for the bass and a6 for the main part). One thing ESPECIALLY to note...there is no real one-themedness to this song, unlike many of your others...even upon the first listen I see over three distinct melodic parts all with unique twists on the mood. I might have to update my best of TIS list, this is my new favorite of yours.

ps, I like that synth you got going on there. It's pretty crazy and I'm generally in love with crazy synths.
