This is an excellent piece of music - practice or no practice. It works very well, the samples and arrangement are almost near to perfection. My only complaint is that some section transitions could h... Read full review

Initially reminding me of the feel of one of the Spaghetti Western composers (Ennio Morricone) due to the use of strings at 33 seconds in, the track gains its own momentum thereafter; it's a good pie... Read full review

I'm no judge of Orchestral music but hands down this one impresses me the most.

Great orchestral for a movie score or a strategy/FPS game as a menu screen music. The composition has variety which is very nice. Makes me want to listen to it more than just once. :)

Forgot to add in the review - I think you've solved that panning problem; sounds just right here :)

Somehow it sounds like everything is in the left speaker now, to me. Tell me what you think.

Okay I did some editing. I just amplified the right channel a bit, then switched the two channels. I hope it is a bit better.

Ah headphones did the trick. I didn't even have to turn them over. There's an obvious overweight in the left phone. Wow, what a shame. I should probably fix it... when I get the time. Thanks for noting!

Boxcutter, I find a good way to check panning is to swap your left and right channels. If you're using headphones, this is as simple as putting them on backwards. :) Most people have one ear more sensitive than the other, so this is a good way to balance out that problem.

Thanks! I'm trying to understand the panning problem though, where can you hear it most?

This is really nicely laid out, it reminds me of some of the best games I ever played back in the day, you know.. before orchestration became clich

Great! :) I've been hanging out for a new track from you. my only criticism would be that you've tended to bias the left channel a bit too heavily for my tastes - it sounds as though the mix is nearly 60-40, and most of the "interest" is on the left. I know that I personally favour the right too much, so it's not really such a big deal. :) // Musically, this is great. I somehow feel, though, that the sections are *too* separate - it would have been nice to have somewhat subtler transitions between them. It would also have been nice to have each section develop a bit more. But I might just be saying that because I like the track. :P // Great work as always, Boxcutter.

Wow... this is a brilliant orchestral peice. You wanted feedback? Well, this is bloody excellent. One of the best orchestral peices I have heard on this site most definately.
