Artist's description:
I used 16 chords in this piece and amazingly the drums had maybe 60 rotations. Its amazing how diverse this song is. I honestly think its my bestest work ever...... The transitions will just make love to your ear and leave you feeling defiled.

But...the snares aren't unique rotations, unless you consider basic 8th note rock-style snare rotations to be unique. Move them onto 16th notes (or quantized 32nd notes) and also rotate the bass-kicks and you'll likely have something more drastic. But as for now, at least to my ears, your work sounds like a good idea, but a quite incomplete one. ----------- My song Dreamist has gotten mixed reviews (some people think it's my worst song, others think it's better than Project Freedom IE my best song)... --------But even people who hate the very layered, to the point of sounding convoluted to some listeners, melodies have praised the beat rotations and transitions... ----------------------------So you may want to check that out for learning purposes on complex beat rotations...for sure there's a huge difference between the rotations in that piece and this one.

the beat isn't flat.... ist's supposed to be that way so it doesn't leads the attention to the unique snare rotations, it takes a few listens to really hear the brilliance, you cant really expect experimental drum progression to be liked on the first listen now, can you?

---Not everything has to be about beats now has it. Haha, well it sure doesn't...but it can at least have some drums that aren't dead-on the beat...and have some sort of part, even for a few seconds, where the beat drops out or rotates...or does something more than just slipping in an extra drum that's also dead-on the beat.------Making a metronome-like drum-line doesn't work: which is why I and most other artists avoid that problem by putting in at least 3-4 rotations somewhere. :-D

You forget the fact that it has 16 chords, once you realize that you'll see the brilliance of the arrangement. You don't need any variation when you have this many chords in terrorist trance, but still I applied the unique snare progression to underline the chords. Not everything has to be about beats now has it.

I don't get how Spectra can't hear the insane variation that exists in this track, I mean it's so obvious that Tyr has created a track here which defies all convention when it comes to both drop points and chord progression, the beat also has so many rotations that it's almost insane to listen to it.

Wow that drum progression and bass progression has no variation whatsoever and everything is dead boring dead on the beat...this has got to be >>>>the flattest beat production on the beat I've ever heard on TIS hands down (beside Slammy's gate album contribution).<<<<< Even my first song, and I assume most other artists, has much more going on in the beat than this clunker. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- That being said, the chords actually aren't bad, the problem is everything else has sounds like it was made in 3 minutes. Which makes this song, well, not worth listening to in full, maybe once on preview just for a laugh. 5/5 - 1/5 for a flat and bad beat - 1/5 for the corny arrangement (random demo instruments an annoying on-the-beat bassline) - 1/5 for the fact the mood never changes during the song IE it's a "one theme wonder" = 2/5 stars.

THANK you, finally you understand.... It's not easy making a song with 16 chords you know.

You're right, I apologize, clearly you have a much more refined skillset than me as your snare rotations clearly outdo my inflective snares. Please, accept my 5/5 score as an apology.

And if you CAN EVEN count, you'll clearly see that the snare rotations are way more frequent then in your song..... plus.... my song has 16 chords..... which is way more then you could ever dream of

if you want quality terrorist trance you need to spend real time on it.... that means I don't have time to release an enormus amount of garbage also

And if you don't listen to me, you're a hypocrite.

And here I thought you wanted to make some progression in your sound and not stagnate in the usual stuff you do, and besides I've released far more music than you lately, so you really should listen to me because I produce way more than you'll ever do.

Well, I do admit that I should have added notch filters, but your "bass mastering" comments are ridiculous. Clearly this sort of bass I used right here is needed in terrorist trance, have YOU ever heard terrorist trance with more bass then this? That wouln't be terrorist trance anymore..... that would maybe be.... freedom fighter trance.

one half more dba on your bass mastering to compensate for the drop point you added.

I'm happy you decided to use the techniques of ultraminimal percussion progression that I made, but I really think you need
