A dark, yet funky piece of techstep that brings to mind the works of Ed Rush & Optical (see their "Chameleon" album) or the Upbeats. The nineteen forbidden notes don't actually appear in this track-... Read full review

No reference to micro-tonal tuning. The layered drums consist of one chopped up Dr. Rex loop and a ReDrum using one kick, two snares, two hi-hats and two ride cymbals at different lengths.

"19 forbidden notes" eh? Wonder if this is a passing reference to 19TET, one of the most popular micro-tonal tunings which is semi-cacophonic. This track is not big on melodies...but chock full of crisp but dirty production...very very aggressive...load of carefully controlled distortion: from a production standpoint this is seriously trippy stuff; nice work! BTW, do you layer drums (IE mix 2-3 snares and a soft cymbal together for a single snare hit to get this sort of power) and, if so, how? The drive in this one...is kinda making me envious. ;-)
