Year: 2009

Album:
Ms. Ouija

Artist's description:
a simmering anger at neglect, in minor key.

Contributors:
SoOn samples:

Europe field recording.
feedback leads in a minor.

Inspiration:
The lyrics came from a couple of lines entering my head as I was trying to sleep. So I forced myself up and wrote a page. Had been making this beat, carried by the insane guitar sample of the SoOn compo samples. It fit. I hope I at least win "the darkest" award... I tend to usually. heh.

Lyrics at the bottom.

Also the lyrics came from watching a 1967 Frederick Wiseman documentary (subconsciously inspired) called "Titicutt Follies". That documentary helped inspired movies like "One Flew Over the Coo Coo's Nest", but the observational style of the documentary is extremely powerful in my opinion.

Yeah, most of it is intentional. Thanks for the listen.

your vocals are improving man... cool tune.. the mixing isnt that great though as there is too much going on at times and the compression really pushes certain sounds in and out of the mix too harshly...

I would've made the vocals pretty wide stereo to pump them up from the mix, other than that it's a fine piece of mental unstableness. I love the beatchange, though I really was hoping for the song to blast into some weird circus act there. A bit too chaotic mix for it to really turn me on, but still very good job.

Hell yeah, you've really got the Mike Patton thing going here. Reminds me of God Hates A Coward on the mic.
