Artist's description:
Still a work in progress, but I don't think I'll get to finish this before the deadline hits. So here 'tis, a sort of a tribute to Xerxes, and also one of my first real chillout tunes outside of one hour compos. I think I did decently well, all things considered.

Fun facts;
*All the content of the song was made within a 12 hour session, with only a few cigarette breaks.
*I ran out of channels from chibitracker - no room to add anything more to the song, even though I really wanted some heavier and deeper basses.
*The pianos were taken with a one impro shot - hence the mistakes. Needles to say I'm not much of a player.
*I'd really love to take this kind of an act live, it's such a blast to play this.

SoOn samples used:

Feedback - if you fail to spot these, you're deaf. The whole song is based on the sample. :p
x.wav - full clip in the intro, though pretty inaudible.

You've invoked xerxes' characteristic sound and rhythm and offered a fresh take on it. It's so neat to hear the result of a sort of fusion of your two styles. I really enjoyed the listen. Deep thanks for this, Ceekayed.

I'm not much into chillout tunes but this one is good :-)

Wow, nice job CE, you definitely have a xerxes vibe going here. Kinda like wrapping up in a big blanket on a winter's night. Interesting how you shift an electronic rhythm into reggae without it being disruptive at all, yummy. I feel compelled to respond to this entry in kind.

very nice... could very well imagine some spoken word/rap vocals in the style of tricky's 'hell around the corner' would go very well with this..

Yes, it indeed is Francesca - all the vocals are her.
