Response - I'll have to steal everyone else's answer here. I would pay $50 a year to keep the site alive, but only if the operators of the site showed an interest in keeping it alive. As it stands right now, I probably would just cancel my membership if money were required. I don't know of many other places where I can get feedback on my music, but I don't get a lot here, so- sadly- I'm not sure how much of a loss it would be. |

Response - Most memorable? I'm tempted to give the same answer as I did for the question about what the best concert was that I ever went to... but I guess I'll go a different direction. The most memorable for me was probably the first rave I went to where I heard drum 'n' bass- it certainly had the most impact on who I am as a musician (and as a person) to this day. |

Response - I went to see Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, and Joni Mitchell at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington State about 10 years ago. Bob Dylan was the headliner. Joni Mitchell was absolutely awful- she kept stopping in between each song to espouse her political and environmental agendas for ten minutes at a time and people were booing her off the stage. Bob Dylan's performance was mediocre at best- but Van Morrison was absolutely amazing. It was either that concert, or a rave that I went to called Eclipse- I saw Technical Itch and Decoder, and my best friend lost his mind on LSD and forgot who I was. Amazing. |

Response - Top 100 systems like Billboard, or things like MTV's top 20 countdown are good for musicians- but only if their primary concern is gaining recognition. I think they are ultimately bad for listeners because most such lists are based on "popularity"... and maybe it's just me, but "popular" rarely seems to coincide with "good"... |
